I was raised in Ankeny, graduating in 1984. I hold a finance degree from the University of Iowa and an MBA from Drake University. My family moved to Ankeny before my fourth-grade year, where I attended and was confirmed at Our Lady's Immaculate Heart.

My wife Jane and I returned to Ankeny in 2002 to raise our two daughters, Kate and Abby. Kate is a Physician Assistant in Colorado, and Abby is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Coralville, Iowa. Both got married in the summer of 2025; Kate married Andrew Klinker, and Abby married Dillan Lein. 

My most fulfilling involvement here at Our Lady's is serving as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion for Mass, where I feel particularly connected to Jesus. I am a member of the Knights of Columbus, and have served as a sponsor for OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults) and CEW (Christian Experience Weekend). Over the years I've gone on mission trips with organizations affiliated with the Catholic Church and served on the Des Moines Diocese Parish Accounting Committee. 

I am enthusiastic about serving on the Pastoral Council and welcome your ideas and suggestions for our church.
