In 2013 the Diocese of Des Moines requested all parishes establish a Safety Committee, the purpose of which is to aid the staff in creating and maintaining the safest environment possible for parishioners and visitors. To that end, in 2015 OLIH established it's own committee which meets most months on the 4th Wednesday at 3:00 pm.
