Our Christian lives find their source and summit in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, particularly at Mass.  In the Holy Eucharist, we share the body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus Christ under the appearance of simple bread and wine.

We have low-gluten hosts available at all Masses. Please see a Hospitality Ministers or Sacristan before Mass. Our dedicated low-gluten pyx have a red cover and marked 'low-gluten' on the bottom of the pyx.

We have many generous volunteers who bring communion to those in our parish unable to attend Mass in person. If you or someone you know is in need of a home visit for communion, please contact our office (515-964-3038) to make arrangements.

Here at OLIH, youth in second grade Faith Formation prepare for their first Reconciliation and Eucharist.  For information on preparation, visit our First Communion page.
