Grades 6 through 8

Faith Formation: (mid-Sept through end of April)

Middle school, Grades 6-8, meet on Wednesdays during the school year. We use the Edge Curriculum by LifeTeen adapted for classroom use.

Wednesdays 5:30-6:30pm or
Wednesdays 7:00-8:00pm

• 6th Grade connects the Old Testament to the New Testament, by focusing on the stories of different people in our salvation history. Clear connections are drawn between the old covenant and the new covenant in Christ.
• 7th Grade explores prayer in the fall and morality in the spring
• 8th Grade dives deeper into discipleship in the fall and the Corporal Works of Mercy/Social Justice in the spring

Come visit the youth room! 

Every Wednesday come down to the youth room. Its open from 4:00-8:00pm, with pop, snacks, & chips for sale, just 50 cents/each.  If you need a place to study, rest, talk, and enjoy…our parish family has provided this place for you!  Come enjoy it!

MSM Christ's Hand's Outreach Retreat - Cancelled for 2026

Each summer 15-20 middle school youth gather to serve the Ankeny and DSM communities for three days of service every July. We spend the night at OLIH & our days at local service organizations.

Working on one day service opportunites for Middle Schoolers in the future.
